The Bible story of Esther starring F. Murray Abraham and Jurgen Prochnow.

Following the conquest of Babylon, the King of Persia gives a banquet for his people, but his wife, Vashti, refuses to attend. Ahasuerus disowns Vashti and goes in search of her replacement. In his harem, he meets the young girl Esther and falls in love with her. Esther then reveals to Ahasuerus that she is Jewish and asks him to show her people mercy because of a planned genocide of the Jews by the King’s right-hand man, Haman. In doing so, she saves the lives of many innocent people.

Como, exatamente, devemos buscar nos tornarmos pessoas que cumprem a vontade do Pai celestial e que são obedientes a Deus, de modo que Deus nos leve para o reino dos céus?
O cristão Song Enze foi preso e encarcerado por sete anos pelo Partido Comunista Chinês porque ele acreditava em Deus e pregava o Seu evangelho. Quando foi solto, ele insistiu em continuar a se despender por Deus espalhando o evangelho. Ele sente que, abandonando seu lar e sua carreira, labutando e trabalhando, ele está fazendo a vontade de Deus e tem certeza de que ganhará a aprovação de Deus e que Deus o levará para o reino dos céus. Mais tarde, o filho de Song Enze adoece gravemente e corre risco de vida, o que leva Song Enze a guardar um rancor contra Deus. Ele tenta argumentar com Deus e até perde seu desejo de cumprir os seus deveres.
